Wikimedia Foundation

Working closely with Vital Inc. the Swerve team created a bespoke iteration of our T6 desk to fit the needs of the all-important engineering team at the Wikimedia Foundation (parent non-profit of Wikipedia and other open-source projects).

With an armature beam running the length of the desk behind the workstation, clip-on modules can be easily added to or subtracted from any station; amog these options are translucent divider panels, tack+scribble whiteboard units, power conditioners and monitor arms to hold one or more screens off of the desk surface.

Monitor arms can be moved from sitting to standing with one hand; minitables allow laptops and keyboards to be easily raised to standing heights as well.

Due to open communication and the local nature of our fabrication process, the Wikimedia Foundation project has been phased over several years with just-in-time manufacturing of each new round of furniture carefully coordinated with incremental expenditures of the Foundation's finite resources.
